About

Shire Early Education (S.E.E.) is a consciously minded and heartfelt preschool program for children ages 3 – 5. We prioritize inquiry, creativity, and outdoor education. Through this process we weave in academic skills organically, based on students interests and natural curiosity. S.E.E. was founded in 2017 by Ashley (Tink) Kelly in Boise’s North End and accepts students from throughout the treasure valley and beyond.

Ashley ( Ms. Tink) Kelly

Owner, Teacher

Founder of S.E.E. Ashley “ Ms. Tink” Kelly has dedicated her life to education in hopes that all children will have the opportunity to learn according to their individual needs and desires. She is passionate about integrating inquiry based learning, self regulation skills, and celebrating diversity. Creating authentic spaces for parents, teachers, students, and community members to come together to village raise children is her dedicated mission for life. With Ms. Tink leading this heart-centered program, everyone is valued and thrives!

Ms. Tink has a M.Ed. in Early and Special Education from Boise State University. She believes inclusion for all learners is foundational to maintaining a healthy environment and society. She is a part-time educator for The College of Southern Idaho teaching for the Early Childhood Department. Her favorite courses to teach are Intro. to Teaching Children’s Literature and Early Childhood Environments. She also is a certified elementary educator in Idaho and Oregon with an endorsement in literacy education.

March Williams

Teacher

Ms. March brings decades of experience working with children in a variety of roles, including as a teacher, coach, nanny, and devoted mother and grandmother. Her lifelong commitment to nurturing and guiding young learners is evident in the patience, wisdom, and encouragement she brings to each day at The Shire.

She has a passion for nature, outdoor education, and helping children build the foundational school readiness skills that support lifelong learning. Whether she’s tending to the garden, exploring the outdoors with her family, or catching a game, Ms. March creates engaging experiences that foster confidence, curiosity, and resilience. Her dependable nature and wealth of experience make her a trusted mentor and a cherished part of our learning community.

 

Olivia Henkel

Teacher

Ms. Olivia brings a calm, nurturing presence to The Shire and has a genuine passion for helping children learn through meaningful experiences. She has a deep appreciation for nature, creative arts, and nutrition, and enjoys incorporating these interests into everyday moments with children. An avid gardener with a thoughtful eye for beauty, she helps create inviting spaces where curiosity and creativity can flourish.

Known for her reliability, kindness, and steady demeanor, Ms. Olivia is someone both children and families can count on. She approaches each day with patience, compassion, and professionalism, building trusting relationships and fostering a warm, supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to grow.

Come to an Open House

It is strongly recommended to attend an in-person tour of the school before enrolling.

We hold open houses on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
